This article is for kids sitting for the coming 2017 PSLE, but who is still 'blur' with Chinese language vocabularies.

In this article we are going no more further about the importance of vocabularies in PSLE Chinese. Here are instructions on vocabularies for you to use along the final weeks before PSLE. 

 

 

1. PSLE Chinese Phrases & idioms (free)

Any kid is advised to go through EVERY one of the Chinese phrases and establish familiarity in reading them and the meanings. 

These are 200 over Chinese phrases which are acquaintances in PSLE Chinese papers for the past years. The pharases are composed of about 600 unique Chinese characters. 

Beside phrases there are Chinese idioms. 60 pieces for PSLE. By time of PSLE final preparation, a lower level kid please ignore the idioms. A medium level kid please emphasize less on idioms. An A kid please go through them if you haven't .

2. The complete Primary Chinese Vocabularies (free)

Lower level kids please put equal efforts on all vocabularies. Medium and top kids should emphasize more on P4-P6 vocabularies. 

Please use it this way. Go through the flashcards in each lesson one by one. As long as you've got time, repeat it.

3. Superstar vocabulary quiz bot (paid at SG$5 per month)

Superstar is a quiz bot to assist on a kid's vocabulary learning. The bot provides simple multichoice questions related to vocabularies for a kid to continuously interact with (at a speed of ~6 sec per question). The bot does its magic by adapting to the kid's learning profile and enforces accordingly based on realtime evaluation, thus efficiency. 

Superstar quiz bot comes together with the vocabulary flashcards of each lesson. You can use it as a limited trial while paid subscription is needed to enjoy the full functionality. 

A lower or medium level kid is encouraged to try the Superstar quiz out. If your speed reaches ~6 sec per question and yes, it is for you. Please use it to review your Chinese vocabularies! 

 

4. I Can Fly tingxie quiz bot (paid at SG$5 per month)

I Can Fly is a quiz bot to provide tingxie exercise. The bot is used by teachers and parents to deploy the routine heavy tingxie tasks so kids will self-service on iPads.

I Can FLy quiz bot comes together with the vocabulary flashcards of each lesson. You can use it as a limited trial while paid subscription is needed to enjoy the full functionality. 

By the time of PSLE final preparation, because of time constrant, only a top level student with relatively poor ability in writing characters correctly should consider exercising with I Can Fly. Using a stylus pen on iPad may speed you up. 

 

 

5. Most popular Chinese radicals (free)

A lower or medium level kid is advised to go through and get very familiarised with the 30+ common Chinese radicals meanings simply because the radicals hint us when we need to guess the meaning of a character or a word in PSLE. - Frankly, most people do the guessing frequently and we need higher accuracy in guessing.
