What is a smart nation? Smart nation is about Singapore taking full advantage of IT. Using IT comprehensively to create new jobs, new business opportunities, to make our economy more productive, to make our lives more convenient, to make this an outstanding city in which to live, work and play.
For example,
- Paynow will make funds transfer more convenient, cheap and safe.
- Parking.sg will enable motorists to pay for the exact duration parked. If you need to extend, you can do so through the app. No more hassle over carpark coupons.
- To enhance public safety and security, a national sensor network will be set up. More CCTVs will be installed in public places. Authorities will be able to assess and respond to unusual situations promptly.
And this is how we will become a smart nation together-:
By taking the initiative to improve ourselves.
By helping others and bettering all our lives.
By looking towards the future and making singapore a happy place where people want to live.

智慧国是什么？智慧国是指新加坡充分地发挥和利用IT信息技术的优势。通过全面利用IT技术，来创造新的就业和商机，为经济助力，让生活更便利，使我们的城市脱颖而出，成为宜于居住、工作和娱乐之城。
举例来说：
- 用 Paynow 转账，操作更便捷、成本更低、安全性更高。
- 驾车人用 parking.sg 可以精确地按照停车时长来付钱。如果需要延长停车时间呢，在手机应用上就能够处理，省得麻烦去使用停车固本。
- 而为了加强公共安全，我们将建成全国性的监控网络。在公共场所将会有更多的闭路电视摄像头被安放起来，从而相关部门能够及时地获知异常情况并且快速应对。

让我们积极自励，提升和完善自己；
