1 周代授田之法。以地一方里画成九区，由八家各占百亩，称为私田，中间百亩为公田，因形如井字，故称为「井田」。
2 泛指田地。北齐．颜之推《颜氏家训．归心》：「岂令罄井田而起塔庙，穷编户以为僧尼也？」
