国际五大通讯社之一。英文全称为 reuters news agency。西元一八五一年由德人路透(reuter,paul julius freiherr von）所创立，总部设于英国伦敦，是世界最早的通讯社。创设初期原为商业性通讯社，专门提供商业讯息，后得英国政府援助，扩大业务范围，发展成世界最大的通讯社。
