1 古代盟誓时，用牲血涂在嘴边，表示守信不悔。《谷梁传．庄公二十七年》：「衣裳之会十有一，未尝有歃血之盟也，信厚也。」《淮南子．齐俗》：「故胡人弹骨，越人契臂，中国歃血也，所由各异，其于信一也。」也称为「啑血」、「唼血」。
