1 中医上指口渴饮水多而小便多。即今之糖尿病。《梁书．卷三三．王僧儒传》：「吾无昔人之才而有其病，癫眩屡动，消渴频增。」《聊斋志异．卷二．阿宝》：「生忽病消渴，卒。」也称为「糖尿病」、「渴病」。
