1 盛水的瓦器。《淮南子．脩务》：「今夫救火者，汲水而趍之，或以瓮瓴，或以盆盂。」
2 屋顶上仰铺的瓦，形状像沟，可导水。元．戴侗《六书故．卷二八．工事》：「瓴，牝瓦仰盖者，仰瓦受覆瓦之流，所谓瓦沟也。」也称为「瓦沟」。
