1 相传一农夫见兔触树而死，为他所得，遂不事农作，守在树旁，等待兔子撞树，终一无所获。典出《韩非子．五蠹》。后比喻拘泥守成，不知变通或妄想不劳而获。汉．王充《论衡．宣汉》：「以已至之瑞，效方来之应，犹守株待兔之蹊，藏身破罝之路也。」明．朱权《卓文君．第三折》：「盼功名如守株待兔，要求进若缘木求鱼。」也作「守株伺兔」。
