1 比喻一知半解的知识或技能。《醒世姻缘传．第二五回》：「狄宗羽虽是读书无成，肚里也有半瓶之醋，滉滉荡荡的，尝要雌将出来。」《红楼梦．第六四回》：「内中有嗟叹的，也有羡慕的，又有一等半瓶醋的读书人，说是『丧礼与其奢易莫若俭戚』的，一路纷纷议论不一。」也称为「半吊子」。
