2 违反或踰越某种道理、条件等。如：「不合原理」。
3 不该、不当。《大宋宣和遗事．元集》：「宋江接了金钗，不合把与那娼妓阎婆惜收了；争奈机事不密，被阎婆惜知得来历。」《喻世明言．卷二．陈御史巧勘金钗细》：「到第三日，不合又往，致阿秀羞愤自缢。」
4 不停、不住。元．睢玄明〈耍孩儿．乐官行径套．尾〉：「把我似救月般响起来，打蝗虫似哄不合。」
5 不可。武王伐纣平话．卷下：「二人又谏曰：『大王休兵罢战，不合伐纣，恐大王逆也。』」
