1 道教法师设坛建醮时，为求遣神召灵而礼拜星斗的步态和动作。因步行转折，系按斗宿魁罡之象或九宫八卦之图而步踏之，故称为「步罡踏斗」。简称为「步罡」。又相传为禹所创，故也称为「禹步」。《三国演义．第一○三回》：「日则计议军机，夜则步罡踏斗。」也作「步斗踏罡」。
